As a representative enterprise with the right to speak in the digital operation management of the logistics industry, ETO has been selected as a classic business case to be included in the IMBA Operation Management course of the University of Hong Kong and Fudan. In this lecture, we first shared the current industry pattern and characteristics from a macro level, as well as the vital role of logistics in the development of national economy, and set up a basic framework for students to understand the logistics industry.

Many major business model innovations are linked to the continued cost reduction in logistics and the consequent rise of the industrial Internet. As industry and consumption patterns change, the constant pursuit of supply chain efficiency will continue to drive innovation across industries.

Similarly, continuous optimization of efficiency is also the core goal of logistics operation management, and the quality of operation management ability is not only related to efficiency, but also will bring extreme differentiation of the industry and change of competition pattern. The analysis of operation management mainly solves two problems of logistics, one is to digest the huge cost, the other is to make highly complex network efficient. The digitization of operation management is a powerful means to digest costs and improve efficiency.
